Who will be the best swimmer at the Swim Cup?
During the Easter week end national and international top swimmers will battle for victory in Eindhoven. During series, semi-finals and finals the participants can qualify for the big swimming tournaments in Baku (European Games), Kazan (World Championships), Glasgow (IPC World Championships) and Tblisi (EYOF).
But that is not all. The swimmers’ achievements are converted into points by the FINA which results into FINA Ranking. This ranking shows which participants are most successful during the Swim Cup. After three days Femke Heemskerk is in the lead followed by Caba Siladji and Cameron van der Burgh. Last year there were six women who performed best at the Swim Cup. It looks like the men will be represented this year as well, amongst others Sebastiaan Verschuren, Caba Siladji and Olympic Champion Cameron van der Burgh (South-Africa).
Tomorrow’s results will conclude who will win the Swim Cup in the Pieter van den Hoogenband Swim Stadium. On this last day, after the last final, the six best swimmers will be honoured for the great performance they have achieved.
