Registration swimmers

Competition Rules:

  1. The competition will be swum under FINA rules 2010. Special attention for the swimsuits is needed.
    Men: hip to knee. Women: shoulder to knee. Only FINA approved textile is allowed at this meet.

  2. The competition pool is 50 metres and 10 lanes, overall depth 3.00 mtrs.
    There will be swum in 8 lanes. Heats in 10 if needed.

  3. There will be electronic timing.

  4. There will be swum in an open category (all ages).

  5. The 1-start rule will be applied.

  6. Only the 100 freestyle men and women will have a B-final.
    The fastest 8 swimmers, including directly placed swimmers, will qualify for the A-final.
    Numbers 9 to 16 qualify for the B-final.

  7. All the 50m events have a quarter- (8 swimmers), semi- (4 swimmers) and final (2 swimmers) on the same night.

  8. The 400 medley, 400 freestyle, 800 freestyle women and the 1500 freestyle men have a direct final in the evening. The slower heats will be swum in the morning. The 800 freestyle men and 1500 freestyle have a direct final on Sunday morning.

  9. Cancellations for the finals can be placed until 30 minutes after the list of finalists is released and announced by the speaker.

  10. During the heats there are separate warming-up pools for the competitors.
    An 8-lane 25m. pool and a 4-lane 50m pool.

  11. In all cases in which the rules do not compel the responsibility lies with the organisation together with the chief empire.

Entering the SwimCup Eindhoven 2009

  1. Registrations must be in before the 6th of November 2009, preferably by mail sent to
    Mieke Kauwenberg, Het Lover 40, 5501 CR Veldhoven, The Netherlands, psvzwemmen@chello.nl .

  2. Registrations must be done for the whole tournament with list of athletes name, year of birth, program number and starting time.
    Entry form can be requested from Mieke Kauwenberg.
    Also note all coaches, trainers etc who will enter the pool. This we need for accreditations.

  3. At registration the date and place must be noted so the times can be checked.
    The entry time must be swum between September 1st 2008 and November 6th 2009.
    All entry times must be checkable 50 m. times; 25 m. times will not be accepted.

  4. Starting fee is € 5,00 for each individual event. The starting fee must be paid before the
    match starts.
    The bills per team can be obtained at the entrance of the pool or at the jury secretariat.
    Per competing team there will be 3 schedules at the entrance of the pool.

  5. An indication of the number of heats is mentioned in the program but can change due to the
    length of the session.

  6. Electronic timing will be used, the results will be shown on our website after each session:
    www.swimcup.nl    

  7. After every session the results can be obtained at the athletes information desk.

    Cars can be parked on the guarded parking beside the pool.

  9. Entrance fee for spectators:
    Passe-partout € 30,00 (including entrance to the public pool)
    Day pass € 12.50 (including entrance to the public pool)
    Day pass till 12 years € 7,50 (including entrance to the public pool)
    Final (afternoon) pass € 10,00
    Final (afternoon) pass till 12 years € 5.00
    Session (morning) pass € 2,50
    Programs € 2,00 for the heats, € 1,00 for the finals

    Entry passes can be obtained and paid for beforehand.

  10. The first starting list will be published on www.swimcup.nl as of Friday November 13th 2009.
    Cancellations or changes can be done until Monday November 16th 2009 20.00 hrs. to
    Mieke Kauwenberg, tel. 040-2531449, psvzwemmen@chello.nl
    For cancellations or changes done after November 16th 2009 the starting fee must still be
    paid.
    The second starting list will be published after November 19th 2009 on www.swimcup.nl

  11. The organisation the right to refuse competitors or change the program if circumstances
    allow this.

  12. Cancellations before each session must be done in the jury secretariat 30 minutes before
    the session starts. Starting fee must still be paid.

  13. Every winning competitor receives € 50,00 per number in the Finals.

  14. The Sofitel Cocagne in Eindhoven is as previous years the “Swim Cup” hotel.
    Also this year the organisation of the Swim Cup Eindhoven was able to make
    a special arrangement will the hotel.

    The rooms cost € 75,00 including breakfast (excl. tourist taxes).
    Lunch € 19,50 p.p. including coffee, thee, milk and orange juice
    Dinner buffet € 27,50 p.p. excl. drinks

    There will be a free shuttle bus between hotel en pool.

  15. There is also a possibility to train before the meet:
    Wednesday November 25th 2009 from 08.00 – 10.00 hrs. and 15.00 – 17.00 hrs.
    Thursday November 26th 2009 from 08.00 – 10.00 hrs. and 15.00 – 17.00 hrs.

    Both training possibilities are in the match pool.

  16. Transportation to and from the pool during the training possibilities and the tournament is
    ONLY arranged between the Sofitel Cocagne and the pool.

  17. For teams travelling by train to Eindhoven and staying at the Sofitel Cocagne:
    The hotel lays a 10-minute walk from the train station.
    There is NO transportation between train station and hotel.

  18. All winners of the 50 meters will have an extra bonus of € 1.500,- and the winner of 100 meters free style will have a bonus of € 1.000,-.

    A very special bonus will be given of € 10.000,- to swimmers breaking the former World Best Times (till 1.1.2008) in textile swimsuits (new Fina rules per 1.1.2010).

    For the best 8 swimmers overall and according to FINA-lists the following prices are available:

    1st prize € 1.500.00
    2nd prize € 1.200,00
    3rd prize € 1.000,00
    4th prize € 750,00
    5th prize € 600,00
    6th prize € 450,00
    7th prize € 300,00
    8th prize € 200,00

    Swimmers with the highest points win 1st price, etc.
    Only times that are swum in the finals are eligible for prize money.

    Disqualification is not eligible for prize money.

    The prize money will be divided evenly if the swimmers end the same. For instance 2 swimmers end equally 3rd and 4th, so € 1.000,00 + € 750,00 = € 1.750,00 : 2 = € 875,00 each.

    There can only be qualified for ONE prize.

    The winners will be announced on Sunday after the last final and the prize money will be paid in cash.
    The athlete in person must pick up prize. If not picked up in person the prize expires.

  19. Each day there are special day prizes of € 250,00 for certain program numbers.
    These numbers will be mentioned on a later date.
    Day prizes will be given after each final session and also must be picked up in person.
    If the number’s 1 en 2 end in the same time the prize will be divided.

  20. If the national television will broadcast LIVE, it is possible that the starting time of the finales will
    change. Of course you will be notified in time.
